The Tap House

The Tap House is a neighborhood beer bar in historic St. Elmo with more than 30 taps. The rotating lineup covers local brews, ciders, domestic beers and gluten-free and non-alcoholic options, plus wine and cocktails, and beer flights are on offer. Its website says the bar is veteran-owned and operated. The kitchen turns out a full menu of burgers and sandwiches, including a burger made with bison, boar, elk and wagyu, a black bean veggie burger and a Reuben on marble rye. Starters lean on house-made beer cheese with a soft pretzel, trout spread, hummus and pimento cheese, and much of the bread comes from Bluff View Bakery and Niedlov's. Reservations can be made online, and the space is available for private events such as birthdays, rehearsal dinners and corporate gatherings. The site also lists parking validation for nearby lots.
