A sponsored spot puts your business at the top of its category on NoogaFinder, above the regular listings. It costs $25 a month, and you can cancel any time.
1Where it shows
Where your card shows
Your sponsored card is your listing as it already looks on the site, with a small Sponsored label.
At the top of your category
Every category on NoogaFinder has its own list page, for example Coffee & Tea or Roofing. Your card sits at the top of your category's list, above the regular listings.
On other listings in your category
Near the bottom of every listing page is a row of similar businesses, such as "More Roofing in Chattanooga". On every other listing in your category, your card is first in that row.
In a Top Rated tab, for some categories
The Things to do page has Top Rated tabs for Restaurants, Coffee & Tea, Breweries, Gyms & Fitness, Hair Salons and Veterinarians. If your category has a tab and your Google rating is 4.0 or higher on at least 5 reviews, your card is first in that tab too.
2Site traffic
Who visits NoogaFinder
Real numbers from Google Analytics, the Google tool that counts visits to a website. They cover the whole site, for the four weeks from September 21 to October 18.
Different people. Someone who came back is counted once.
Pages opened in those same four weeks.
Businesses listed on NoogaFinder right now.
3The rules
How the sponsored spots work
The rules are the same for every sponsor, in every category.
Two spots per category
Each category has room for two sponsors. When both spots are taken, no other business can book until one sponsor leaves.
One sponsor
While yours is the only sponsor in your category, your card is always first.
Two sponsors
Both cards show at the top, in a random order each time a page opens. Each card is first about half the time.
Exclusive
Exclusive means yours is the only sponsored business in your category. No second sponsor can book, so your card is always first. Exclusive costs double.
The "Sponsored" label
Every sponsored card carries a small "Sponsored" label. Paid spots have to be labeled (a Federal Trade Commission rule).
Everything else
Sponsoring never changes any business's rating or reviews, or the order of the regular listings below the sponsored cards.

Every price covers every place your card shows. Pick how often you want to pay.
Standard sponsor
One of the two sponsored spots in your category.

Every price renews by itself until you cancel. You can cancel any time, and your card stays up through the time you already paid for. NoogaFinder is an independent local guide, so there is no promised number of views. Paying month to month is a simple way to try a sponsored spot.
5Getting started
How to get a sponsored spot

Find your business and claim it
Search for your business on the Add or claim your business page and confirm the business email address or phone number. Claiming is free. Not listed yet? Add your business there for free.

Press "Boost Listing"
Once you are signed in, open your listing and press "Boost Listing". That page shows whether a spot is open in your category, the price and the Pay buttons.

Pay online and go live
Payment runs through Stripe, a secure card processor. Your card goes live as soon as the payment goes through, and the confirmation email has your next payment date and the link to cancel.
