Nature's Palette
A park ranger leads Nature's Palette at Booker T. Washington State Park on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 3 to 4 p.m. The park describes the program as exploring how artists made their colors before art supply stores, using plants, berries, rocks, soil and other natural materials.
The meeting place is the Recreation Area 1 lower parking lot, at the outdoor classroom behind the pollinator field. The park says materials are provided and suggests coming ready to experiment and get a little messy. Because it involves handling plants and berries, the park asks participants to consider any plant, fruit or skin-contact allergies.
Schedules and events may change, so contact the park for the latest. See the Tennessee State Parks event page for details.
