United We Dance is a full day of performances and dancing at Miller Park, presented by the Chattanooga arts group Art 120 International Markets & More in honor of America's 250th anniversary.
The day opens at 11 a.m. with youth and adult performances from the local dance company Art To Empower. At 1 p.m., Barking Legs Theater performs a dance interpretation of the Bill of Rights. At 3 p.m. a "dance clock" begins with interactive dance-alongs moving from 1700s country dancing and Irish reels through blues, hip hop and Latin rhythms, ending with an American Dancefest. The organizers say it suits all ages, dance levels and abilities, and no dance partner is needed.
The event runs 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and is listed as free. See the official event page for details and RSVP.
