Spookasaurus (formerly Kooky Not Spooky) is a Halloween-season race presented by Run Chattanooga, with a Hocus Pocus Half Marathon, a Terrifying 10K and a Frightening 5K. Costumes are encouraged, and walkers are welcome.

The course is a paved path past the Chickamauga Dam, behind the Chattanooga State campus and alongside the Tennessee River, passing the start, finish and aid station area several times. The organizers describe the atmosphere as low-key and non-competitive, with a 4 hour time limit for all distances. The organizer says registration includes race swag, a finisher medal, an aid station with water and snacks, and post-race food.
