New Salem Mountain Festival 2026 - 52nd Annual

The New Salem Mountain Festival returns for its 52nd year atop Lookout Mountain, celebrating Appalachian heritage with a weekend of handmade crafts and mountain tradition. It's held rain or shine on the second full weekend of October each year.

Around 100 artists and craftsmen set up to show off pottery, paintings, furniture, wood turning and carving, stained glass, jewelry, candles, iron works, wreaths, baskets, and leather goods. It's a easy day trip from Chattanooga, about 30 minutes south on Lookout Mountain into Rising Fawn, Georgia.

Saturday runs 10am-6pm, Sunday 10am-5pm.
