25th Annual Chattanooga Oktoberfest

Presented by the Chattanooga Market, the 25th Annual Chattanooga Oktoberfest is a free two-day festival at the First Horizon Pavilion, next to Finley Stadium at 1801 Reggie White Blvd. Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, and the organizers recommend festive German attire.

Expect Oompah music under the main tent, a biergarten with local, regional and international breweries (subject to last-minute change), Bavarian food, and a market of local farms and artisans. Contests include the brat toss and stein hoisting both days, plus the Mr. & Ms. Chattanooga Oktoberfest contest on Saturday afternoon. Kids' activities typically include face painting and balloon animals.

Beer and Oktoberfest merchandise sales are card only; some farms and artisans may take cash. More at the official Oktoberfest site.
