Holiday Christmas Lights Train at Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum

The Holiday Christmas Lights Train is an after-Christmas evening ride run by the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum. The roughly 60 to 65 minute, 6-mile round trip uses enclosed, heated vintage coaches, passes through Missionary Ridge Tunnel, crosses four historic bridges, and stops for a working turntable demonstration in East Chattanooga.
Rides are offered December 26, 2026 to January 10, 2027, departing from Grand Junction Depot at 4119 Cromwell Road. The museum says holiday lights are concentrated at the depots and along select parts of the route rather than being continuous. Tickets are $26 for adults and $17 for children, and the museum says each guest receives a souvenir boarding pass. The ride does not include a Santa visit, a restoration-shop tour or onboard refreshments, though food and drinks can be bought at the depots.
Dates and tickets are on the official page.
