Downtown Library 50th Birthday Block Party

The Chattanooga Public Library is celebrating 50 years of its Downtown Library with a free, all-day block party right outside the building on Broad Street, which will be closed to traffic for the day.

• Food trucks (food for purchase) plus free cake and cupcakes while supplies last
• A kids' zone with inflatables, a scavenger hunt, face painting, touch-a-truck and bubble machines
• Live music and performances from local bands
• A Maker Day on the 4th floor and the annual Local Author Festival on the 1st floor
• A Chattanooga Public Library Foundation book sale on every floor

The library lists free parking in the EPB Garage and invites guests to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The library says that if it rains, the activities move indoors. See the official event page for details.
