Chattanooga Creek Paddle & Cleanup

This annual event brings together paddlers and volunteers to clean up Chattanooga Creek while enjoying a morning on the water. Kayaks and canoes are provided for registered participants, though you're welcome to bring your own. The route covers about 3 miles of creek, with designated stops for trash collection along the way.

It sounds like work, and it is - but it's the fun kind. You're out on the water with good people, the scenery is beautiful, and you're actually making a difference. After the paddle, everyone gathers on the riverbank for a community cookout with burgers, hot dogs, and drinks provided by local sponsors. A solid Saturday morning that feels good all weekend.
