Northwest Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center

Northwest Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center is an emergency animal hospital on John Maddox Drive in Rome, Georgia. According to its website, it is part of Lakefield Veterinary Group and is open around the clock, every day of the year, for urgent pet care. The site says emergency visits do not need an appointment and that walk-ins are accepted. Pets are assessed through a triage process, similar to a human emergency room, so the most urgent cases are seen first. Owners are told to expect check-in with a client service representative, a triage assessment, and a treatment estimate before diagnostics or procedures. The website also lists veterinary acupuncture among its services. The site says the clinic works with a pet's regular veterinarian and shares records and treatment plans. If you are unsure whether a situation is an emergency, the site suggests calling the clinic.
