Swamp Monster Festival 2027 at Chester Frost Park

The Swamp Monster Festival is a new family festival from Shop the Market At, set for Chester Frost Park in Hixson on Saturday, May 22, 2027, from 1 to 9 PM. The organizer calls it the first edition. It is built around Tennessee River folklore and the story of a creature said to lurk in the river's back channels.

The organizer lists themed activities and photo spots, storytelling, live music, artists and specialty vendors, food trucks, contests and games, and a fog-covered riverbank set. Anglers can enter the Tennessee River Swamp Monster Catfish Challenge, a catch, photo and release contest for bank fishing only; the organizer lists a $50 entry per team of two to four anglers, capped at 50 teams. Admission is listed as free.

Details are on the festival page.
