Ringgold's Down-Home Christmas

Down-Home Christmas is held in downtown Ringgold, Georgia, on Friday, December 4, from 6 to 8 p.m., according to the city's tourism site. The tourism site says it falls on the first Friday of December each year.

The evening begins with a Christmas parade led by Santa Claus, which the page says starts at 6 p.m. The tree lighting takes place at Citizen's Park, where Santa lights the tree once he arrives with the parade. The page also lists pictures with Santa at the Depot, live holiday music, caroling, extended shopping hours at downtown businesses and a Festival of Trees behind City Hall that stays up through December.

The page lists the schedule, parade route and detours as still to be announced, so check the official event page for updates.
