Little Owl Lecture Series: Evolving Projectile Technologies in the Late Middle Woodland

The Chattanooga Audubon Society's Little Owl Lecture Series pairs a 2-mile round-trip guided hike to Little Owl Village with a one-hour talk by a community member or partner organization. The December 12, 2026 talk is "Evolving Projectile Technologies in the Late Middle Woodland" by Orion Kroulek, CEO and Principal Investigator for Cumberland Applied Research Associates, Inc.

The hike and the lecture can be bought separately or together. Audubon lists non-member prices at $10 for the hike, $10 for the lecture and $15 for both, and member prices at $7, $7 and $12. Audubon describes the series as a fundraiser for educational programs and signage in the archaeology museum and on the trails at Audubon Acres. Audubon asks hikers to wear appropriate footwear, since the trail can be narrow and slippery in places.
