Boo in the Zoo 2026

Boo in the Zoo is the Chattanooga Zoo's Halloween event, held from 4 to 8 p.m. on select evenings: October 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24 and 31. The zoo says it welcomes families with children of all ages, including infants. Activities include candy stations, character meet-and-greets, a scavenger hunt, costume shows from 5 to 7 p.m., animal enrichment and a bounce house.

The zoo says tickets are sold online only, with timed entry slots, and that regular zoo admission does not include the event. Children 2 and under are free (the zoo requests a reservation). The zoo says the event is rain or shine, though some activities may be delayed or canceled in rain. Adults may dress up but are asked to skip masks and scary costumes, and weapons, real or fake, are not allowed.

Tickets and details are on the zoo's event page.
