163rd Anniversary of the Battles for Chattanooga

Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park marks the 163rd anniversary of the Battles for Chattanooga with artillery firing demonstrations on the Lookout Mountain Battlefield. They run on both Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22.

Demonstrations in Lookout Valley are at 11:00 AM, 2:00 PM and 3:00 PM each day, about 30 minutes each, with a look at the role and experiences of Civil War field artillerymen. The location is 3100 Parker Lane in Chattanooga.

The park says programs inside Point Park on Lookout Mountain need an entrance fee ($10 per adult age 16 and older, children 15 and younger free), while other areas do not. The park notes more programs may be added, so check back. See the official National Park Service page for updates.
