Mean Mug Coffeehouse Southside is the Main Street location of a Chattanooga coffeehouse group. According to its website, the company is locally owned and was established in 2011, and the Main Street shop helped pioneer the Southside neighborhood's growth. The menu covers espresso drinks, drip coffee and Kyoto-style cold brew, and its website lists a full breakfast and lunch menu served all day. The website says the food includes vegan and paleo options, and the baked goods (cinnamon rolls, biscuits, scones, muffins and breads) are made in house. Mean Mug also roasts its own small-batch single-origin coffee, which it says it has done since 2017. The company has other locations around the area, including the North Shore and Hamilton Place.
