Alleia

Alleia is an Italian restaurant on East Main Street in Chattanooga's Southside, set in the old Harrington building. Its website says chef Daniel Lindley opened it in April 2009, with a rustic Italian menu that pairs imported Italian ingredients with produce from local farms. House-made pastas such as pappardelle with braised veal and rigatoni with lamb ragu share the menu with individual pizzas from a masonry oven, antipasti, salads and wood-fired mains. The drink list opens with Italian-style aperitivi and house cocktails. The dining room is trimmed in wood salvaged from the Harrington building, and a covered porch is enclosed and heated in cooler months. The Renaissance Room and the porch can both be booked for private events, and reservations are taken through Resy.
