Splash Pad Season Opens at Coolidge Park

When the heat hits Chattanooga, the Coolidge Park splash pad becomes the most popular spot in the city for families with young kids. The interactive water features are set right along the river on the North Shore, steps from the Walnut Street Bridge.

It's completely free, and the surrounding park has plenty of green space for picnics, a historic carousel ($1 rides), and easy access to the Frazier Avenue shops and restaurants. Pack towels, sunscreen, and a change of clothes.

The splash pad typically opens Memorial Day weekend and runs through Labor Day. It operates during park hours and is first-come, first-served.
